I lost compression (down to 60#) after no longer than 5 minutes running a 1984 15hp Johnson than was running very good. I pulled the head and the gasket looks ok and the cylinders are not scored. Also pulled the bypass cover and could see nothing. Does anyone have any ideas?

I will be in Ontario for a week of fishing at the end of this month. I will be pretty far on the other side of Ontario in the Lake of the Woods area. I will take my Evinrude Lightwin along to play with. It makes me happy that Canadian kids are benefiting from this site as they learn to work on motors.
