I do not know much about motors and I am trying to identify some parts for a moter that my dad owned so I can replace , fix, & tune it up. can anyone help?1964 5.5 hp johnson seahorse

There are several posts about this on iboats.com. Generally people say it is more eaconomical to replace the the gaskets to recondition the old tanks than it is to convert to a single hose pump. It can be done by installing a standard OMC vacume pump but you have to drill a hole in the side of the block at the right spot to get the pulse needed to operate the pump. I may attempt this on my CD-15 and write it up someday. OMC got away from the two line pressure tanks after 1958 because safety problems due to the fact that they contain pressurized vapor and fuel. I've not seen a specific kit for this but there may be one.
