Hello from Italy Tom, I have had an old Lightwin for almost 18 months and it worked more or less decently. I got it as the auxiliary engine on a small sailboat I bought. Last sunday it started and took me out of the marina, then run out of fuel so I filled the tank again but it would not start. Or it started but shut down within seconds. Eventually, we were able to make it run again by setting the high speed to 6. It run with a lot of noise. I have almost no experience on engines. Yesterday I disassebled the carburator but did not remove and clean the needles, the noozle and float valve (found your pages today). I also cleaned the cylinder heads and the sparks. Today I tried again to start it but it did not work. I noticed that fuel comes out from a small hole in the silencer, just between the two screws in the front, whenever I pull to start it. I suspect I miss something important. Thanks for any help Marco

I took it to a radiator shop and it looks like we can clean it out. I'll let you know how it turns out.
