I have a 3hp 1955 Evinrude. I cleaned and rebuilt the carb, cleaned the metallic in-tank fuel filter, installed new plugs, coils, condensors, and points. The motor starts and runs very smooth at slow speed. When I accelerate it runs soooth but soon just dies like I shut it off. When I demand more fuel it starves out?? I am guessing I have to revisit the carburator again for repeat cleaning. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Thanks for visiting. The picture on that page is not the correct coil. They do have a link there to the Siara 18-5170 which is the correct coil. They sell it for about $26.95 and this is the same coils I use.
