Hi there Please excuse my ignorance. I just got a 1961 flying scott. With a johnson 50 hp (rov?). The key only starts motor will not shut off. I have to take the cover off and flip a little red lever on a fuel solenoid. It didnt use to be this way. Until I had the boat painted. wich I am sure is unrelated. It also is much less fuel efficient. Compaired to before problem. Any one have an idea or know whats going on

My Johnson Seahorse 10 Hp -58 (QD 19) has no spark. Before I dive under the flywheel, are the any other possibly spots to investigate. Is that rubber pushbutton below the jet adjustment a stop button? Does the motor have to be in neutral to be started? KKJ
