i recently purchased a johnson jw-10 motor. it started up fine and ran well for a short while then it stoped on me. it took awhile to start again then it started leaking gas. now it did not leak gas when first started. so iam puzzled why it leaks gas after it has ran for awhile. i am new to this motor and i don't have an op manuel. the prior owner said it runs great, it does for awhile then stops. can't find the previous owners number to call. any help whould be greatly appriacated. thanks

Hi Kristian, You definately need to get underneath the flywheel. The ignition on your 10 HP is pretty much the same as on my motors. If you put new coils, points, condensers, maybe plug wires, and get it timed right, then it has to work because that is all there is to it. I am not sure about a kill button on that motor.
