What should I use in the lower unit for gear lube? Also any one have any history or information on these old Johnsons. It's a HD-20 and are there any exploded parts views and listings for these on line?

Maxrules.com has ring sets for $13/piston. This is the best I've seen yet. I am going to tear down the crankcase and see if the pistons are scored and need to be replaced also.
