Tom - I am in the process of converting my 1959 Johnson Seahorse 5.5hp from a pressurized fuel tank to a Single line Fuel Pump Suction System as per you article I found on your website. I have located all of the required parts but have one question before I get started. After I have removed the intake manifold cover I understand that I remove the rubber flap check values and plug one of the holes with the vacuum line plug, but am unclear if I reinstall the rubber flap check values before reinstalling the intake manifold cover. Can you please advise? PS…..Thanks for the article, I’ve been looking for something like this for sometime now. I made due by making my own pressurized fuel tank. It works great, but I still don’t like the idea of having a “bomb” in the boat.
