well i would recommend reading the tune up project articles on this site--and all the posts here and on other sites-- get a manual--I like the Seloc ones--you should become familiar with 2 stroke engine operation--you will probably need to replace the water pump,the spark plugs,maybe the fuel pump if it cant be rebuilt, thermostat if so equiped--the carburetor will probably need rebuilding, spark plugs and wires, maybe the coils if they have erupted, points and condensers--Its not a bad idea to replace the head gasket as that forces you to inspect the coolant channels in the top of powerhead. Look around on ebay and other places for a parts catalog for your motor so you can look up the parts numbers that you need--of course there are always people on sites like this that can give you parts numbers but its nice to have your own library. Other folks on here may have other ideas on where to go next. But the most important thing for me is having fun.
