If you go to Iboats.com forums under faqs there is lots of info about waking a sleeping outboard or about anything else you might need. You should get a service manual before starting on the motor.They sell them at iboats or you may find one at the library among many other sources. This is an excellent iboats sponsered site with no popups.Lots of fellow boaters helping there including myself. Basically you should go through the fuel system from tank to carb. with special attention to cleaning and rebuilding as required. Change the gear lube note if any water is present.Change the impeller.More than likely the ignition system will need repair including replacing the coils if they appear cracked or deteriorated.Lube up the various moving parts and linkages.Be sure to ask any questions both here and at iboats.Good luck
